When it comes to inspiration for music, artists tap into many things: the desire for success, financials, relationships, friendships, experiences and a million other things. In the video for Jayo Sama‘s “You Sleep”, the inspiration seems like it came straight from the loss of friends and family. The visuals starts off with a news clip of a horrific accident that left 5 dead, including friends of Jayo. Throughout the video shot by OmarTheDirector, names of lost friends and family appear on the screen as Jayo melodically flows about god, losing people, and being remembered after death. This record is not only deep but also very catchy and relatable. Jayo Sama really hit it out the park with this one.
