These three cuts are from artists who make unconventional, but brilliant music. It should only show you that thinking outside of the box is not only a positive at all times, but truly will attract more eyes and ears at the end of the day. Be well, make good decisions and be kind to someone today as well. The world needs all the help it can get.

Mel Hines & Séléné – Méchante

This one is off-kilter in the best ways. With a lucid tone and driving percussion Mel Hines and Séléné have gifted the world their latest effort entitled “Méchante”. With an almost falsetto register or to be considered just soprano-ques, these intoxicating melodies attract a certain type of ear. That of which isn’t afraid to take the time to listen to abstract feeling and songs, as opposed to someone who loves the cookie cutter nonsense that has plagued our streaming services. This one is refreshing because it’s unhinged and doesn’t play by the rules that most artists play by. Mel laid the ground work for the percussive effort and Séléné assisted with the vocal prowess. This one is a great break from the monotony of life, get hip.

Chloe Lilac – Sawed Off Shotgun

This is Chloe‘s first time on our pages and with her colorful video for “Sawed Off Shotgun”, we have a feeling this won’t be the last. Aside from the fact this isn’t our usual speed when it comes to genre, Chloe showcases true star qualities when it comes to here sound. The colorful instrumentation melded with her unique tonality showcases something a lot of artists don’t have and that’s real identity. With the setting of the video adding to the chaos it makes for a true moment when it comes to world creation within the song itself. Chloe made us pay attention for the duration of the video but also proved that people will be looking for more with each drop. A real effort to take the eyes and ears away from their every day life and forcing them to delve into something new. I guess the mission was accomplished.

Crisalee King – Time Alone

We have another first timer on Chiefers, but that’s the whole point to get to new music first. Crisalee King‘s “Time Alone” is an infectious cut with steady percussive elements and an addicting tone. This one is incredibly easy to digest with a feeling of unrelenting confidence that Crisalee provides. Her attitude bleeds through the speakers, but in a manner that creates curiosity to hear more of her art. What I really admire is the way she delivers her cadence and bounce of the track to the people. It feels like it’s meant to be a broad range of enjoyment for whoever takes the time to listen, but it never feels robotic or made by the machine. Real artistry is what should always be the most important when creating these waves and Miss King took us for a ride. Do yourself a favor and get hip to the heat above.
