We live in a time where everyone thinks they know whats best. Well, I disagree. There are far too many different lives, let alone personalities that exist in the world, so we should just leave people alone and let them be. We all could use an escape from the hullabaloo, so peep these glorious sounds below.
Rudeboy Bambino – HUSTLEADE
Rubeboy is back on our pages with his video for “HUSTLEADE”. Sampling the classic “Candy Rain” we hear our protagonist show and prove atop this top-tier production effort. The video isn’t anything too high-budget but it still does a great job of melding with the style of the song. The formula for success is laid back, yet braggadocious bars while flaunting some bread. Please don’t sleep on Rudeboy, he’s onto something serious.
WOKEUPS – 1010
This was sent to me by a trusted ear, so I had to tap into the SoundCloud splendor. WOKEUPS makes his first appearance on our pages with this one, but after this introduction, it wouldn’t surprise us if he’s back with every drop. The wondrous production is only accented by WOKEUPS unique styling. He’s not afraid to play with the melodies matching the synths, instead, he shines in a league all his own. In a PluggNB world, there are many who try to duplicate instead of creating their own unique sound. WOKEUPS is a name to know, don’t sleep.
Shotgun Willy – Dalai Lama
Shotgun Willy is focused on enjoying his time while he’s here and instead of buying into the norm he’s created his song “Dalai Lama”. Pairing the cut with some wondrous visuals we see our protagonist head to India for a TukTuk race of sorts and hilarity ensues after. Willy brags of doing lines with the Dalai Lama which would be a blast I’m sure, but the energy that this one carries through is something special. It’s a bit different but that’s what’s special and it feels carefree in a time of tribulations. Don’t sleep on Shotgun Willy.
Julia Kahn – Magic
This is a bit away from the usual that we cover, but instead, the uniqueness drew me in. Then as I continue to digest Julia Kahn‘s video for “Magic”, I see what the hype is about. Her tonality is stellar and doesn’t dwindle in the slightest. The visuals only breathe life into the song and further the feeling of “Magic” in the air. The drum and bass percussion meld with a lucid, atmospheric wave of bright life coming from Julia‘s diaphram. This one is special, so take some time to peep it above.
