Freddie Gibbs calls into Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club earlier this morning to confirm that he has parted ways with Young Jeezy and his CTE label. He also states that there is no bad blood between him and Jeezy and it’s a move that he’s got to make in his career. In my opinion, the signing to CTE seemed like the right move at the time, but as time passed, it didn’t seem like Gangsta Gibbs was going anywhere in his own career. It didn’t make any sense either when Gibbs was snubbed for a spot on the standard version of TM103 and that’s when it started to feel like Jeezy was holding him back. Now that Gibbs is on his own, hopefully we can hear some new collabs with him and artists that he hasn’t been able to work with that because of the Jeezy beef situation.
