Malik is one of those names in music who quite literally adds another notch to the belt with every release. “Greenlight” is a tad more emphatic and energetic from the production standpoint, but the vocal approach Malik brings to the table takes this one to another level. Following up after his Smoke Signal EP dropped earlier this year, “Greenlight” showcases another shade of Malik‘s talent that extends the reach to a new type of fan. His auditory register creates its own layer of the song to follow where all of the instrumentation melds around it.
I love hearing Malik on top of a production style like this, but it only proves that he cannot be held back by what you think he’d rap on. Malik Elijah will continue to build his brand and arsenal of hits until the end of time. But don’t wait for the next, peep it all below.
