Nams Homeless teams up with Tyler Dennen from hardcore band Sworn In to drop a beautiful visual for his song “Solstice.”
If this isn’t the perfect song to depict what Midwest hip-hop sounds like. FUCK. I love Nams’ druggy, slurred cadence, and Tyler’s eye for how to capture the feel of the song in a video is absolutely flawless. Nams is from Gurnee, IL, but currently resides in Kenosha, WI. Nams is responsible for really harboring a dope music scene out there. His home is also known as the Public Garden, where he throws shows, and good ones at that.
“Solstice” has a lot of dark undertones, speaking about depression, and feelings, and also smoking a bunch of cigarettes to cope in the video itself. I really love this darkness, mostly because it’s relatable. Everyone goes through some sort of hardship in their lifetime, and for hip-hop heads, this track will speak volumes. It’s with great pleasure that I’d like to present to you all for the first time, “Solstice.” Enjoy above.
