Okay, so I’m not entirely sure how this pre-Reasonable Doubt demo tape came about, but thanks to the dudes over at MassAppeal, we get to hear some historic, young Jay Z.
Although I have been one to trash Jay Z for his terrible one liners, or his seemingly “don’t care” effort as of late, this EP is something that should really shed light on just how great Jay Z was.
On the demo featured here, Hov effortlessly glides over these unreleased records, showcases the true talent that everyone saw on his come up. I was born in 1990, so this is amazing to hear. Like listening to a museum.

I heard Kanye’s Prerequisite., now to hear this. I love when I hear how people 1st started out (or where they were when they got discovered at least).
