URL is someone that came across my radar just surveying Spotify, and his newest single, “Honey”, is phenomenal. The prosecution on the record is very psychedelic with the crying guitars and groovy drum pattern. That sets the foundation for an indie jam.
The vocals on the record are what put the icing on the cake. URL sings the record in the beautiful falsetto tone that reminds me of the Trilogy era Weeknd. It’s smooth but brings the punch that the record needed. This is an excellent record as the weather starts to warm up for these summer months!
