Lupe Fiasco Plans To Release 3 Albums In 2016

After recently announcing a Winter 2017 release window for the sequel to his sophomore effort The Cool, Lupe Fiasco took back to twitter to announce that he’ll be releasing 3 albums in 2016. And the first release of those 3 will be “Drogas” — which translates to drugs in Spanish.

If you aren’t familiar with Lupe’s Drogas persona, expect music that would come from a Hip-Hop Cartel of sorts. Press play on the videos below to hear a few previously released Drogas tracks. Now as for the other two albums, what will be released is still unknown. What casual Lupe fans might not know is that, Lupe has a successful side project/punk rock band called Japanese Cartoon.

And earlier this year they announced plans to release their 2nd album in the near future named “M.I.L.K. Is For Pussies.” So that has a good chance of being one of the last two 2016 Lupe involved projects. As for the 3rd? It’s either Black Vietnam (collaboration group with Symbolic One) or SKULLS(Album Zero). And if you haven’t figured out that Lupe is an artist of many talents, be on the lookout for SNDCLSH (he & Sky Gellatly’s EDM group) to release their Don’t Drop The Flag EP before the end of the year. With all that being said… stay tuned!
