Since signing to Cash Money as a very young adolescent, Lil Wayne‘s influence on the hip-hop genre and culture is undeniable. Over the past 20 years, Wayne has contributed hundreds upon thousands of verses to his catalog, ranging in sound. From the early Hot Boy days, to the start of his solo career, Wayne’s mathematically mind boggling approach is still not seen today.
We’ve been blessed with an extremely wide array of stylistic approaches in rap over time. I alone have over 800 songs in my library with Wayne on the bill, and I’m still missing a lot. I think its safe to say that he probably 1200 or more if you include guest features. Maybe when I’m bored for a week straight I’ll attempt to calculate this number, but for now, let’s talk about 10 songs that are dope and we think you should know.
