20 Artists To Watch From Wisconsin

Without a doubt, Wisconsin is growing as a hub for hip-hop. The Midwest has its own sound, hovering somewhere in between singing and traditional rap. It’s unique to the area, almost as if it belongs here. I’m not going to sit here and tell you that Wisconsin is doing it better than other states, but there is a sort of charm that comes from artists in Wisconsin that is very hard to find in other areas. I’ve always loved hip-hop that was “in-your-feelings” and mushy, and I feel that maybe being exposed to Milwaukee’s hip-hop has me looking for a sound that doesn’t exist in any other state.
