The Arizona based collective, made up of emcees: Jalopy Bungus, PARIAH PETE, Shrub Head, MA$TERMIND and producers: Nawlidge Nick, Sk8zen and Crust, have been on a hot streak all fucking year. Having just sold out their Aug. 10th show at Crescent Ballroom, the crew is more than prepared to prove themselves ready for the spotlight. This couldn’t be made clearer than with their debut tape, 20 (Side-A), which finds the guys running a masterclass in killing a track across all 8 songs. Dripping with charisma, it’s easy to see why the singles, “EYE OF THE STORM” and “LIE TO ME”, quickly wracked up plays upon release and will leave you spouting one-liners for weeks to come.
Cool and steady, 20 POUNDS proves once again why they’re the oasis in the desert with this one. If you don’t check it out, you’re fucking up.
