Kendrick Lamar has been KILLIN’ 2015, to say the least. After releasing the critically acclaimed To Pimp A Butterfly, it took the young Compton rapper in the direction of 11 Grammys nominations, which is second to the late, great Michael Jackson. After seeing such a huge success, his hometown has awarded him with something special, the key to Compton, the city that so ever curated the narrative that we hear today in his music.
The Mayor of Compton took to Twitter to announce that Kendrick Lamar will receive a key to the city on February 13th — which is 3 days after my birthday. Now this is a Major key, fuck Khaled’s little SnapChat bullshit. Press play below.
