After being released in March last year, Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp a Butterfly album is finally certified platinum. The news is released in coordination of RIAA’s updated album award criteria, which will now include audio and video streams towards its gold and platinum program, instead of just album sales.
Along with K. Dot, Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise also achieved the feat, as well as The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness is now at 2x platinum. Check out some of the tweets below and wish Kendrick a dope congratulations.
