With legalization sparking up on every corner nowadays, the fear among weed critics is that eventually everyone will be smoking weed, which is obviously a dumb ass response. Either way, a new report from the researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis has proven this myth to be completely wrong.
“Rather than doubling, the increase in marijuana use among adults was closer to 20 percent over the same time period,” WU officials said. “Problems related to using pot, such as addiction, remained steady or even declined.”
“That study had indicated that 9.5 percent of American adults used the drug before legality, as compared with 12.5 percent in this study,” WU officials said.
There is obviously going to be an increase in pot usage due to the fact that we never had a chance to actually calculate “real” numbers until a few years ago.
