Rhymesayers functionary Aesop Rock and Stones Throw Records emissary Homeboy Sandman have had a momentous year, both together in their noticeable and newly formed kinship, and also in their own right through solo endeavors. Both dropped acclaimed albums and hit the road for the well reviewed Impossible Kid Tour, and as proven and perpetual creatives, Aes and Boy Sand then came together to offer the collaborative EP Lice that featured a Fort Minor remix of “Get A Dog” from Mike Shinoda. After garnering over half a million plays on the series, the lyrically charged duo now return to build on that momentum with the sonic sequel Lice Two: Still Buggin’. The five tracks call on challenging production from Dan Hayden, Mondee, SoberMindedMusiC, RTNC and Aesop himself, but both emcees make easy work of the beats by rushing through a barrage of clever bars and subtle hooks.
