Holy shit. I have to shout out Milwaukee artist Webster X for showing me this new song from Injury Reserve & Vic Mensa entitled “Keep On Slippin’.”
It’s in completely different class of its own. This song blew my fucking mind with how different it is from anything I’ve heard. It’s really dreamy, but at times a sobering reality settles in over the track that makes you slightly uncomfortable, but in the best way. The repeating “keep on slippin'” in the background of the whole song set a vibe for this song that I haven’t heard anywhere else.
Injury Reserve is a hip-hop group from the West Coast. Using their versatility and artistic approach to music has cultivated this ethereal music.
