Westside Gunn and MF DOOM drop off the first single of their upcoming collaborative LP WESTSIDEDOOM. In addition to talking him and Conway‘s recent signing to Shady Records, the death of Prodigy, and his love of wrestling in an interview with Hypebeast, Westside took time to discuss how the upcoming project came about and revealed the first of what’s sure to be many fire tracks from the album. “Gorilla Monsoon” provides us with some insight on what we’re going to get from a New York rapper in his prime in Westside Gunn, and an underground legend in MF DOOM. The beat is sinister and dark, something Daringer is no rookie at providing us with. Westside went on to say “With this WESTSIDEDOOM shit, I honestly feel from what I did and what he did on those two songs with Alchemist and Daringer, nigg*s is in trouble and the whole world is about to understand what I’m saying.” Stay on the lookout for more news regarding the release date of this thing and be sure to stream the banger below.
