Legendary producer Statik Selektah drops off his highly anticipated album, “8.” Statik executively produced the entire album and enlists a huge number of A-list rappers as well as more underground talent, creating a perfectly blended and diverse project. The production is classic Statik, which is just what it sounds like, classic.
With rappers like 2Chainz and Wiz Khalifa going over his production, as well as Run The Jewels and Wale, you hear a very different sound from what these bigger artists are used to. There’s also a crazy collab with Cousin Stizz and Curren$y on the same track as well as a posthumous track from the Prodigy. The rest of the project boasts features from the likes of Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$, G-Eazy, Westside Gunn and so many more. Needless to say, Statik just dropped off a masterpiece.
