Shamana is one of those mysterious rappers who, instead of showing his face, shows anything but it. Really from Cleveland, Ohio, but suggesting he’s in Beirut, Lebanon, Shamana may very well be of Lebanese descent now settled in Cleveland. His most recent album — God And I Worked Things Out — works in a very murky, crowded sonic space, almost fitting the meta and abstract nature of the album title.
