Having built up a reputation for being a monster on the mic, Jimi Tents, lives up to the hype on “BACKBONE”. Far ahead of the pack lyrically, Tents is able to craft straight head bangers with substance unlike much of what is being pumped out these days, which is incredibly refreshing and grabbing to me as a listener. His booming voice and unwavering cadence both add to the gravitational pull that this NY artist is able to create around his music. Production on the single comes from Mike Hector. If you’re not hip this this hitmaker, then there’s no better time than now to hit play.
