It is always a great thing when rap combines with our iconic images for a modern day spin. Some examples are Yachty and Chef Boyardee, and now Pharrell and Tyler, The Creator have their hand in a new look at the classic holiday film, “The Grinch”. Ahead of its release presumably sometime this year around Christmas, Tyler, The Creator dropped the iconic theme song that will get plenty of play during the movie and promotion. The talented artist mixes a slow verse with an instrumental that sets a looming tone that fits the sour image of the cartoon’s anti hero so well while mixing in enough chords and vocals to give it an uplifting feel in spots, before bringing it back down for a great preview of how the production will fit with the visuals in what hopefully will be one of the best movies this winter.
