Rising producer by the name of Bixtel is another featured musician apart of this Red Bull and Daily Chiefers series that has put his name on some major hits. Major songs such as Young Nudy’s hit-record, “Middle Fingers,” and producing with other artists such as Ayo Teo and Lil Yachty. Q: A question I usually ask most artists is where did you get or come up with in your case, the name Bixtel?
A: Bixtel came from the name of a rare jewel. My nickname growing up was “jules” so for my name as a producer I figured some type of jewel would be good. The most rare jewel is known as ” bixbite”. I altered the name a little bit.
Q: How does it feel to works with the likes of Young Nudy and Lil Yachty? Can you name a few more artists that you like to work with? Any music out or on the way?
A: It feels awesome. I was familiar with their music prior to working with them so it was reassuring when the were happy with the beats.
Q: What separates you from the rest of the producers in the game?
A: I’m willing to experiment and try something completely out of the norm. Aside from the radio in my car I don’t listen to outside music very often. I think the fact that I try to incorporate pop motifs into hip hop production also separates me.
