Lancey Foux is making noise out of London in both music and fashion, and today he returns to our pages because of his brand new project, Friend or Foux. He flaunts his unique style across this 20-track project, further establishing himself and his If you aren’t already familiar with this hitmaker, come read up!
After Lancey Foux released the video for his single, “India,” I knew exactly the quality I should be expecting from his project. With an airy, optimistic way about it, the video gave a prelude for what was to come on Friend or Foux.
Over the course of 20 tracks, Lancey Foux made the perfect statement to cap off 2019. He decorated the impressive project with names like Skepta, Chip, Bakar, Monkey 67, Kesh, and Suave Sinatra, and the final result does not disappoint. As expected, the Skepta-produced track, “PSYKENIGHT,” featuring Skepta and Chip, went hard, however, it didn’t overshadow the rest of the songs on the project. Lancey collaborated with some talented producers, including Cardogotwings, DP Beats, Jay Trench, Diako, and VLONELOU, while even producing a few himself. Some of my favorite tracks off of the project include “Whole Other Wave,” “Say Nun, Ain’T Nun,” “India,” “Right Now,” “Dream,” “PSYKENIGHT” and “Where’s Lancey.”
Lancey Foux is soon to make a major impact on the international Hip-Hop scene, while tying in his fashion roots to his brand in a manner that reminds me of A$AP Rocky‘s- he’s able to blend the two dimensions of himself seamlessly. Before you know it, Lancey Foux will be a name commonly spoken about in America and beyond; he’s already taking the UK by storm. Stream the project below, and stay tuned for more from the rising UK artist.
