Orlando native, Marco XO has been on our radar for quite sometime, now. His 2019 project, B.Y.E. is a personal favorite, and has allowed him to ring in the new year with a slate of engaging visuals from the project. Connecting with director, Mark Schlegelmilch, Marco continues the streak with his new video for “Forrest.”
With the location set in the woods, the video being dropped during this time helps to definitely strike a chord, as we all sit in quarantine. Maneuvering through tumbleweeds and dirt, the video follows Marco on this journey, before abruptly being met with Marco taking a dead body out a trash bag. As he gets ready to bury it, he takes off the bag to reveal the face, which is his own, possibly signaling an ego death. Soundtracked by thumping production from Slim Beatz and an array of infectious croons from Marco, the total package makes this one of the best drops from Marco, yet.
