We’ve covered a number of Van Buren Records‘ vastly talented members, but this evening we’re here to shine a little light on Meech‘s brilliance. On “idky” we hear lush bass chords spaced apart from bellowing kicks, followed by rich layering of baritone croons calming each breathe in the air.
Staying in the pocket for the entire duration of this cut, Meech boasts a stellar cadence to his raps as well. Flowing effortlessly in between the two styles only furthers his impression on our ear drums. This production was handled by Ashton McCreight, who truly set the scene for a special cut. We have to pay attention to artists like this because the music they push out is going to be here for a long time. It’s not a fad, nor a gimmick, it’s something much greater than that.
