Just in time for the end of August, Los Angeles’ own Blxst drops off the visuals to the infectious cut “Forever Humble.” In these black and white frames, directed by Blu, we see our protagonist kick back and talk his shit in a serene setting. His tone soothes the ear, while the song writing is authentic and catchy in the same light.
This is an obvious ode to the west with the instrumentation, but a tip of the cap to the legendary Murphy Lee as well with the chorus. The rugged undertones melded with Blxst’s wave is a combination modern music needs more of. With production from D. Woo and Sam Yun, this is a solid groove from all fields of play and should propel this guy into a larger spotlight. Don’t sleep on this one, Blxst is onto something serious.
