Dominic Fike only continues to surprise me, and working with Paul McCartney is something I would have never expected. A Rock pioneer collaborating with one of music’s most exciting acts got me to jump out of my seat. This is a reimagining of Paul’s record “The Kiss of Venus”, and Fike flips it on its head. Bringing a more modern take to the record makes for one great jam. The guitars are shredding, and the upbeat drums make you want to move your feet. As usual, Fike’s singing is expressive and dynamic.
In addition to the track being phenomenal, the music video makes it even sweeter. You catch Fike in multiple locations in New York; The streets of Soho, a hotel, in a New York Times facility, and on public transportation. The visuals end with a brief cameo of the legend Paul McCartney reading a Newspaper. I expect this is only the first single from a compilation album of musicians recreating some of his most beloved records. Make sure to watch below!
