As prefaced by the album’s cover, Lil Gotit‘s new project Top Chef Gotit is a colorful, explosive array of tracks that flex Gotit’s creative muscles without compromising great music.
On one end of the project’s sonic spectrum, “Get N Dere Gang” with Yak Gotti and Lil Keed utilizes a grumbling, 808 heavy instrumental that you can practically hear people moshing too. The track’s hilarious, energetic adlibs and Keed’s literal burp at one point in the song make it utterly infectious. Then, there’s “Waptopia”, an atmospheric, almost Don Toliver-esque cut that sees Gotit use background vocal riffs to create a serene world for the listener to live in for two minutes and ten seconds.
Other songs that are worth mentioning are his collaboration with Lil Pj in “The Ones” which is an absolute banger, “Collages” with Millie Go Lightly and NAV, which is just fucking beautiful, and “Burnt N Turnt” which just makes you wanna make a stank face.
