She Loves Boon has been on a roll since his last release, “GIGI/Sunlight” (Which I’ve been bumping on consistent repeat for a while now). “Poison Over Ice” is the perfect extension of the sound, and I can’t get enough of it. The pitch-shifted vocals and the sweet melodic runs are appealing, to say the least. This is a unique sound that I’ve never heard in modern music, especially over the hyper pop-influenced production.
The music video shows Boon in multiple locations crooning the record. It’s a simple video that gets the job done and fits the vibe of the song perfectly. I love the shot of Boon in front of the wall of televisions. I’m a big fan of this record and can’t wait to see what else will come.
