A few years back I must admit that I slept on Boon and his musical abilities. Once he was another name pitching his music in the dm’s, and now he’s on editorial pages and playlists, a true testament to putting that work in. This week I take the time to bless the world with another gift from Boonie Mercury, “I Just Wanna Dance”.
loe4t is not just another producer, he’s a real fucking mastermind at this shit and to pair with Boon‘s creativity, we really see no bounds that can’t be met. This is a more hyperpop-leaning wave, but the bounce and percussive cadence definitely reside in a rap realm. The heavily-distorted vocals might disorient the listener if you’re not hip to the genre, but once you realize this is pure energy, you can’t steer away from the tune.
And hey, don’t we all just wanna dance? Yes, yes we do and we will continue to do so until the end of our days. She Loves Boon will drop his new album, Emotional Trap on September the first, so peep this one below.
