Misery loves company, they say, so when indie rock/alternative artists Dog and spookybands get together to collaborate on a new track, you better believe there will be some exquisite sadness pouring out of the speakers. “Dreadful” is a heartache pop song I stumbled upon with just an acoustic guitar and soaring vocal harmonies that are emotionally intoxicating, to say the least. I’ve been following spookybands for some time, and this new sound he’s on is lightyears ahead of what he used to be making. I’ve always been a fan, but now I really get it. If you haven’t had a chance to hear this masterpiece yet, take a listen below; you won’t regret it. In fact, next time some kid picks up an acoustic guitar and starts strumming “Wonderwall,” I recommend you steal the guitar and play this song for everyone instead.
