For the longest time, I tried to duck the Lil Buckss hype. Back in high school, I was a huge fan of Buckss thanks to songs like “Come Outside”, “We Spinnin” and “We Spinnin 2”. However, because of his legal issues I was never convinced he’d be able to consistently drop music without getting caught up in beef.
While my concerns definitely haven’t died down completely, Till My Last Breath is far better than I expected and has prompted me to buy back into the hype. Some personal favorites from the project include “Offensive Coordinator” featuring Ot7Quanny, “Backseatboys”, and “TMZ.”
Overall, the fast-paced, menacing Detroit beats matched with Buckss delicate flow and gruesome lyrics prove why the West Philly native continues to be the cream of the crop in the Philly Drill scene. Check out the project below!
