Detroit rapper Talibando puts on for his city with War Lord. In the last two years Detroit rap has been going crazy and for good reason. Artists like Veeze and Babyface Ray who appear on this project bring a new creative sound that is unlike anything else.
Talibando gives us 15 tracks showing his talent from start to finish. Flowing effortlessly over every beat Talibando touches on how trapping isn’t dead, to not messing with his crew the Navy, and so on. Going crazy from bar to bar, I’m like wait what did he say? Play it back and am in shock at what he comes up with. To hang with the big boys you have to show up. Year after year Talibando has flown under the radar but this project will rise him to the surface. With that being said “Millions” featuring Veeze and Lucki has to be the stand-out track. All three artist have their own sound and over this syrupy beat, they all mesh so well. War Lord is a defining project from the Detroit artist and I can’t wait to see what else he has for us.
