Diz is truly one of the first names that comes to mind when I think of the sun genre that is Jazz Rap. Whatever that may mean is more of a personal decision, but this cut reaches much farther than the usual efforts from his peers. With production from berj, we hear our protagonist spew brilliance atop pristine percussion.
This cut feels like a victory lap of sheer joy and consistency. Diz has been on some of the biggest publications over the past 12 months, and the catalog is there as well. It truly seems like the only missing piece is finding that real fan base to eat, sleep and breathe his art. Regardless that’s on the way, alongside more music to grow with. Diz isn’t the future, he’s the present, get hip.
