Samara was sent over to me by a trusted ear, and it didn’t disappoint. Aside from the wondrous visuals that catch your attention at first glance, and the damn near-perfect minimalist production, Cyn‘s vocals hypnotize the ear. Her Tennessee roots have melded her talents into what we see today, but this now LA-based artist is taking shots with the big fish.
“Wake Up” is an excellent introductory record for the world to dive into because it’s a hit. The lucid feeling behind the vocals, and the transient styling that is a breath of fresh air from the monotony of many modern artists, all of these factors add to the Samara lore. Overall this one is definitely worth the watch and an addition to the playlist. Samara Cyn is onto something, so pay attention.
