As the year comes to a close we are in a time of self-reflection. And you must look back at what you’ve accomplished over the past 365. Though the times are always arduous and giggles may not suffice for the troubles, we must push through. Thanks for rocking with the Chiefers fam for another year and we’ll continue to wonderous bliss into the next 365.

Merlaku Ra – GHOS7

Merlaku Ra has been on our radar and slowly building momentum with his skill set. On his newest effort called “GHOS7,” we are given baritone, bold, and braggadocious bars atop electric guitar riffs. Ra truly takes us on a ride when it comes to his music, and this is a great example of that. His tonality is unwavering with confidence, and he commits to whatever style is the focus. Merlaku Ra is a name to know going into 2024.

Malik Elijah – God Body

Malik Elijah is another name to know going into 2024. This wordsmith gifts us a batch of holiday cheer and sheer confidence with his cut “GOD BODY.” As you can tell by the title, this man is in his bag, and the only competition is himself. With powerful production as his backdrop, Elijah paints the sky red with his verbal effervescence. Truly, Malik consistently makes great music with every drop, though this feels like an extra emphasis to break through. Regardless of when the world catches on, Malik will get them up to speed.

LAIVY – We’re Human

LAIVY is back on our pages with the powerful new single “We’re Human.” This young man’s songwriting ability takes the listener to a different mindset and showcases how powerful this message can be. To put it quite simply, “We’re Human” is a call for peace and understanding across the board for your fellow man. You can hear the pain and exhaustion in his spirit, but the sense of resilience is what drives it home. LAIVY is laying the groundwork for a real career; stay tuned for more from this kid.

Drew Verdé – Wake Up Call

Drew Verdé makes his first appearance on our pages with “Wake Up Call.” An energizing cut, to say the least, this one aims for the party and thrives there. It should come as no surprise that this man was raised in Detroit, given the city’s influence on House and dance music. However, putting his own modernized twist on this cut showcases the best of both eras. “Wake Up Call” is one of those songs that will be stuck in your head all day after the first listen, but until Drew drops again, peep the heat above.
