Boston’s own Black EL and Michael Christmas link up over some Durkin production for “Do Not Disturb.” Wow, this shit rides.
”I hit a turning point at 19 because it was the first time I was getting a sense of independence away at college, while still dealing with being treated like a kid at home in the suburbs. It was also when I started seriously pursuing music. Years later, I got to know Michael Christmas who was just starting to push his music. At the time I was making my project, he was 19, but had a totally different experience growing up in the city. This track is a reflection on what it’s like to be carefree and misunderstood at 19, from two different perspectives.” – EL
