A week removed from his spectacular debut performance on Saturday Night Live, D’Angelo now takes on the stages of the iconic Apollo Theater, backed by his band The Vanguard.
This performance was a special part of his life. He was finally returning to the site where he use to perform at the Apollo Theater Amateur Night contest, where he won “three consecutive wins and [made] enough money to buy a keyboard.” Talk about rags to riches.
