NCAA Basketball: UCLA at Southern California

Retired basketball player and television sportscaster William Theodore “Bill” Walton III’s — aka the legend — finally spoke his true feelings on this so-called “war on drugs” in an ESPN-2 telecast. During said telecast of the Washington-Oregon basketball game, analyst Walton makes a tough dispute on how he doesn’t think the NCAA should punish players for marijuana.

The sportscaster, who was part of UCLA’s NCAA men’s basketball record 88-game winning streak, stated multiple times that he felt it was wrong to punish people for a state-legalized substance.

“This whole war on drugs is an absolute failure across the board,” Walton declared. “Somebody’s got to step forward……and we’re looking for Obama to step up and say, ‘Why are we punishing people for things that are legal?’.”

Word to Walton. Preach it, breh!
