Wow! After dropping the album Cognitive Dissonance 2, the Macklemore Privilege & Chief on Keef Violence EP, multiple visuals, and the single “Baby Jesus” all within the last 3 months, Raz now follows up his contention for the XXL Freshmen List 10th Spot by letting loose this heavy cut “That Ain’t Love” with feature appearances from Pusha T and Leezy Soprano. Tapping into an aggressive snare and deep bass instrumental sound with the second single for the upcoming Baby Jesus project due April 7th, Raz and Pusha really go in on this high fidelity anthem track. Raz has been on a breakneck trajectory all year, but this is perhaps his biggest play and it comes on the heels of his arrival at South By South West for what should be another big year for him in Austin. This is a step into yet another sound for Raz, without compromising his lyrical integrity, but more so than anything it’s the next one up benchmark, and I can not wait to see where he takes Black Umbrella, 300 Entertainment, and the entire Village next.
