On January 18th, the hip-hop world lost one of it’s brightest stars.
Steven Rodriguez — aka A$AP Yams — was the mastermind behind the A$AP Mob, known for molding their music and their style, and boosting the career’s of A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg.
Unfortunately, as we all know, A$AP Yams passed away due to undisclosed circumstances. It was presumed by many that it was due to drugs, due to the fact that Yams was known for his consistent use of Xanax and Codeine. However, those close to Yams have said that drugs were not at play.
However, those close to Yams have said that drugs were not involved in his death, stating that it was due to his Sleep Apnea. BUT…
According to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of New York City, Yams’ death was in fact drug related.
Sad news: Chief Medical Examiner calls ASAP Yams’s death accident caused by acute mixed drug intoxication (incl. opiates & benzodiazepine)
