Back in December, Kendrick was pumping the world up for his highly anticipated LP. While we assumed that the “untitled” song was going to end up on the LP, when To Pimp A Butterfly finally arrived, it was left off the tracklisting.
Terrace Martin, who produced the majority of Kendrick’s new album, revealed to Complex that the record was never meant to be recorded or released.
Martin described the song as “just a moment,” even stating that there isn’t even a scratch recording of the song. “It don’t even exist nowhere in the world… except on the Colbert Report,” he said.
That’s amazing.
