Jah of The Nobodies has quickly become one of my favorite up and comers out of South Florida, in a matter of a few listens — bringing an unique flavor and cadence to his music that you normally don’t see. Anyways, after taking a few days off, Jah returns to our pages with his beautifully crafted project, We.

The project is separated into three sections: I, You, and Us. Bless your ears below, you’ll thank me later.

“Our individuality brings us together, our unique attributes make up our oneness. We are the world and the world is us so when you are truly yourself, your core shines through and you realize despite there being no one like you, you belong in this world exactly as you are. Our differences are to be celebrated rather than shunned for they shall lead us all down our own paths to happiness and there is nothing more important in this very short life of ours than achieving happiness.”

“We figured out a lot of shit.. Learning to meditate, some real self/all. I legit turned into a shaman or something walking around the house cleansing each room with incense like incantations and shit. We also had a glass of water and for each negative idea I put into my brain we had took a sip (as cleanse) and started each thought processes over only to come up with “we” Acknowledging the I, acknowledging “all”. Both together and separate can do wonderful things, but one thing stuck out to me hard.. They can’t “share”. Only “We” can share. “I” cannot share what it has, to “I” nor “all” (who already has it”), and “all” cannot share to “all”. “Us” doesn’t work because I created Us. If i = All. Then “we” Assuming we both grasp the understanding of I = all.”We” was my answer for everything. The sound it made, how my mouth carved the sound, it’s writing and bilingual entendresIt’s literally my go to chant. Every time the glass of water hit the counter the ending sound was so high pitch it washed me.”
