19-year-old, New York native Que Hampton may be “new” to his standards, but for me, his unique sound makes the word “debut” seem a bit preposterous. Que, who makes his official DC debut, has a polished sound and is ready to make a statement with his debut mixtape, A Piece Of Blakk. Que has two notable collaborations with fellow Rockland County native, Bishop Nehru, who produced two tracks on this project — “Round ‘N Round” and “Peace God,” which are my personal favorites.
Influenced by greats such as Biggie Smalls and Method Man, Que Hampton liberates that classic hip-hop feel with soulful beats and witty lyricism on this impressive 11-track debut, which can be stream exclusively below.
Bless your ears, you’ll thank me later.

Also, in celebration of the mixtape release, Que has also decided to release the accompanying visual for his stand-out “Piece God” single.
