Although Disclosure fans were probably happy when they officially announced their forthcoming album Caracal, SBTRKT and his art director A Hidden Place weren’t happy at all — to say the least.
Heading to Twitter for a hand full of tweets, SBTRKT and A Hidden Place proceeded to call out Disclosure for what they saw creative “rip.” A Hidden Place tweeted several shots at Disclosure saying that Disclosure “used to think they were really cute wanting to be like Sbtrkt. But whats up w/ going from face to mythical creature,” and then quickly accused them of “quick cut and paste of artistic ideas.”
Responding to blogger Disco Naivete, SBTRKT showed a picture of Disclosure’s cover-art before they did — tweeting out, “‘anonymous cat’ common album theme. ;/” and followed that up a simply put “wildcopycats.”
