In just one week, Apple is set to launch their long-awaited audio service, titled Apple Music. Like TIDAL and Spotify, Apple Music is set to have unlimited on-demand streaming for many artists such as Drake, Pharrell, among many others. Last April, Peter Tonstad began his reign as chief executive for the streaming service after its previous CEO left the company.
According to The Wall Street Journal, TiDAL has now lost another chief executive today, following his resignation this week. As of right now, TiDAL has 777,000 subscribers — which is less than Tyler, the Creator’s GOLF MEDIA app, in comparison to Spotify’s 22 million.
And let’s be real, we all expect Apple Music to immediately shift both markets when they go public. We’ll keep you updated regarding any movements from the TiDAL camp.
