When a combination like Homeboy Sandman on the feature and Oddisee on the beat comes across my listening research it is mandatory to hit play immediately upon arrival. Disappoint of the outcome is not found anywhere on this cut “Just Due” from Detroit gangster rapper Finale. Boy Sand takes on the uncharacteristically dark piano laced instrumental with thematically matching bars demonstrating his expected level of wordplay. Miz Korona and Finale himself round out the rest of the vocals with an anthemic hook and elevated verse trading just a notch under the delivery of Homeboy. Being the first offering from Finale’s upcoming Odds & Ends project set to drop via Mello Music Group on August 14th, all 10 tracks will see production from Oddisee, and additional features include Kenn Starr, Hassan Mackey, Thereon Davis, Bilal Salaam, and more. It looks like MMG strikes again.
