Making waves, all 2020 AG Club returns in 2021 with vengeance on the single “Truth”. This record is a high-energy hip-hop track that carries a lot of charisma. The production is insane with the chattering hi-hats and the bombastic bass lend themselves to wildin’ out. It makes for the perfect song to perform at concerts, and I can’t wait! We get distinct verses from Jody Fontaine, Sam Truth, and redveil. Each brings their contrasting styles to the record but cohesively it works together in the best way possible.
Jody’s lead verse is braggadocios and oozes confidence. Talking about how his music is far more superior and that most of us can’t keep up. Sam Truth comes in with a slightly harmonic refrain that serves as the bridge between the two rap verses on the record. This is where we get the hypnotic phrase, “Speak in the light, what you speak in the dark”. As redveil begins his verse, we get a nice transition to production that fits more of his soulful style. redveil shines on this track showing why he’s one of the most exciting lyricists to come out of the past years. He gives us poetic bars about bringing things he hid to the light, and man, this verse is crazy.
The record is complemented with a video shoot in night vision of the three and is something you want to check out! Each one of these musicians is on the cusp of greatness and I can’t wait to see what they all do for the rest of this year!
