Apathy Is The Word Of The Week

Few things keep me enthused. Music seems to be one of them, but the ego of industry exhausts my weary little head. I guess this is the conversation of touching grass and making sure you don’t get caught in the dread, but sometimes it all gets difficult. But alas there’s some solid fucking music below and you can dive right into it. But hey apathy is a bitch I guess.

Curtis Waters – Himbo & God’s Lonely Man

Curtis is a Chiefers veteran but he still makes that stellar music that interests us time and time again. “Himbo & God’s Lonely Man” are the painful duality that Waters’ has to deal with everyday. The highs and lows are shown to be equally as exhausting and almost cause the other side to be a more intense feeling. “Himbo” is the excitment and “God’s Lonely Man” is that introspective downfall that can only come from depleted dopamine. Curtis is a brilliant artist who plays on the edge of his wits end, but the music that comes from it is astonishing. Take care of yourself Curtis, we need you out here.

Mike Wilder, Jake Bass & Brocman – Roll Wita Clique

This is as fundamentally sound as it gets and “Roll Wia Clique” seems to be an ominous wave. Mike Wilder, Jake Bass and Brocman all practice their precise styling fluidly together. The production stays in this miraculous realm of unforgiving slights of distortion. With each verse dialed in and no complaints from the listener, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise when this one ends up in your rotation for a while. Do yourself a favor and get hip to it all above.

 – Metamorphis Part:II

This was sent by a friend with a trusted ear and I am not disappointed I peeped. A bit slower on the side of tempo, but this is real rap lovers song. Aura bends his tempo, cadence and overall wordplay to complex measures. Though it doesn’t confuse or disorient the listener, instead it only intrigues. “Metamorphis Part: II” is just that a wondrous transformation of talents into the auditory form. Aura Da Prophet is a name to know, so get hip.
